Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Land, Utah
|
Deep in the heart of the Navajo nation is this
stellar landscape that was made famous by John Wayne in the
1938 movie Stagecoach. One would think the entire western
USA looks like this, but it doesn't. You have to go to Monument
Valley to find these landmark buttes and spires.

The dammed up Colorado river running through
Glen Canyon has changed this area forever. However, it is still
a beautiful area to photograph.

Monument, Utah

Bent and eroded red Navajo sandstone with white
calcite bands running through it create a geological miracle
at The Wave in southern Utah.

Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona
|
Several Trips to Page Arizona resulted in
many great images of Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon. A very
picturesque canyon with hues of magenta and purple reflecting
on the sandstone canyon walls make this a popular spot for
photographers.

Saguaro National Park, Arizona
|
I went to shoot photos of desert wildflowers
but it was a mediocre wildflower year. However, due to stormy
weather I got some excellent classic sunset images of saguaro
cactus silhouettes against an Arizona sky.
